My understanding [based on what I read from another member who went thru this process] is that module needed to be replaced. It is possible I may have been misinformed.

you dont need the switch panel and you wont need a new module either.

my 530i mirrors DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER FOLDING (autofold)
so all i need is the parts #'s that i listed..and codding?
do this OEM M5 mirrors that i want to purchase have paddle lights? i cant find anywere if they do

Just like the OP no autofold before moving to the M5 mirrors ... 'cuz my car is pre-LCI same as the OP ... that's why I mentioned in my post that after coding I can do autofold from keyfob ...

Yes, standard non-M5 pre-LCI mirror that has folding motor only available in Europe.
AFAIK ... back in pre-LCI time all of M5 is the only one that has folding ability in the US ... easy to tell since their driver side window control switch has folding button next to the sideview mirror selector switch (similar to LCI except the button more square-ish as oppose to round-ish shape).

NP go ahead PM away ... it's just enabling the autofold ability via keyfob using coding so no actual hardware mod done to the mirror, car and/or wiring.
I did swap out my driver side window control switch panel w/ M5 version (another member sold it here) so now I have OEM folding button on the inside too.
