Gents,
I bought OEM M5 mirrors (w/ ECM glass) a while back, had them painted and installed them myself.
It wasnt as hard as I thought. I followed the DIY posted here. Once I got through the
first one, the second took no time at all. I think this is a must have mod. Enjoy...
Very Nice Mirrors!

Looks great!!! Love the new mirrors. Makes a huge difference! How about some more pix of the entire car taken from a distance?
You may recall seeing these pics of his car pre-M5 mirrors,

Very nice I must say

The mirrors in the link below are not worth $20. I think they will make your bimmer look like a ricer civic (complete with overdone bumpers, picnic table rear spoilers, wannabeeimmitation xenons, tin car exhaust, and neon lights everywhere).

On top of that, I think that M5 mirrors are overrated. Even if I had a choice, I would not choose them for free. ...
... Yes, they are "unique", but if you think about it, they are less functional (surface area of non-M5 mirrors is greater than M5's). Only if (and only if) the M5 mirrors would add some kind of usuable, realistic downforce to a car ... I would maybe, consider to buy them. Any other case I see no point ... especially paying $1500 for them.

... Unreal what people spend on pointless gadgets for their cars.

How about more aerodynamically shaped? Would that sell you on them?

Comparing the shape between the non-M5 vs. M5 mirrors, the non-M5
mirrors are more square and boxy vs. the M5 mirrors. Just a hunch...
