Sorry to drag up an old thread, but the time has come to replace my rear tyres (the 255s metioned in the original post) and I'd appreciate some advice. Do I risk getting the 275s or will it rub?

 

recommended sizes of 275/30/19 should not rub. rear offset of your wheels should be ET17, and to compare to the same dimensions of the 166 rear wheel off of an M5 we put a 12mm spacer to bring it to ET16 with no rubbing.

 

Thanks. It's booked in for 275s on Tuesday. The tyre guys had a good look at the car and took some measurements and they think it will be fine. My concern was just that it looked so close and the fact that the wheels are *cough* replicas meaning there could be a few mm difference in the final position of the tyre.

Looking forward to losing the unsightly gap between tyre bead and rim.
