Hi,
does anyone have pics of a m166 wheel that has been painted in a titan (dark shiny gray) colour? Does it just look dirty or is there something special about it? thinking of this in combination with my white e60 with m-packet...
tnx for the help..

Check out BMW#6's gallery. He has a titanium silver E60 m-sport with M172 rims with the "dark shiney look". Should give you a feel for what it could look like -- can't remember seeing a AW E60 on M166s with that set-up.

Tnx guys for your help.
Still not sure about whether to have them painted or not. I am really worried the wheels will look they have brake dust on them - is that so, are they too shiny for that?
any more pics (maybe in titan m166)???

IMO, if you are going to go with oem 166's. Leave them stock, unpainted. If you are worried about brake dust, invest the money you would spend on painting the wheels on a nice set of low dust/dustless brake pads.

What is power coating?
What the paint shop will do was to paint it first black and then paint silver over it - that gives a shiny grayish touch. And exactly that is worrying me - i think it will look like if there is brake dust on the wheels the whole time...

166M looks absolutely nasty in black or colored..... no offense to users who has them powder coated or painted....
