Default M sport steering wheel issue

hi,

i have a 2003 530d se. it came with an msport steering wheel fitted. when i bought the car the airbag light was on, the horn doesnt work, and on idrive it has a restraints error. the guy said this was all cos of the msport steering wheel not being connected properly. if i buy a different wheel will it resolve my issues?
i took the wheel off and can confirtm that one of the connectors wasnt connected. in the pic u can see the clockspring doesnt match the yellow and grey connector on the airbag as its an L shape. can someone guide me if i need to change the wheel, and if so which one to get?

It looks like the previous owner tried to change the steering wheel to m-sport type wheel and they didn't do it right or they realized the new steering wheel is not compatible with that car.

One option is to go back to the previous owner and ask for the original steering wheel and install it. The SRS light will need to be reset after installing everything properly.

i have seen a few steering wheels recently but none match my clockspring. the one on the left plugs straight in. the one on the right of the wheel is L shaped. as u can see in pic my clockspring has symmetrical connectors on easch side. which steering wheel will fit this? or has my clockspring been changed? whats the connector on the left do and whats the L shaped one on the right do?
the previous owner doesnt answer my calls anymore.

even though that is not his problem anymore, it would be nice if he can just answer a couple questions.

i think if u leave a message or text him, he might answer you. Start off by saying that you are not looking to return the car or to ask for money to fix anything, just have a couple questions.

i bought my motorcycle and i needed a couple things from the PO and he answered his phone and provided me with everything i needed. That made such a huge difference moving forward with what i was doing.
