Hi,
Hoping someone can help or have some info that might help, my e60 wing mirror folds in when the button is pressed to fold in, no problems there but when i press the button to put it back out or druve and go above 20mph the wing mirror folds all the way out and does not stop. I then have to pull it back in to where i require it to be. I have stripped it down on the out side and can find nothing wrong, does anybody have any ideas or is it a new complete new mirror.

sorry its a bit long.

Thanks for the help.

I'm going off memory here, but I'm fairly certain the reset procedure was to:
- let the mirror fold all the way out (too far)
- manually fold the mirror all the way in (fully folded)
- push the button to fold the mirror (which can't go anywhere as it's already folded - you will hear clicking sounds)
- push the button to unfold the mirror - it should now be back at it's correct position.

I had this happen once on my 550 and corrected it using the reset procedure above.

Hi,
Thanks for the info but it never worked. , although the mirror does click after the 3 rd procedure, when you press it to go back out it still goes out all the way. Ill keep trying, Im just trying to avoid putting it into the BMW stealers.

Thanks again.
