One thing to keep in mind is, our cars have a big "oil catch" pan under the engine so most likely if you looking to see a puddle in your driveway you wont see it unless you have a major leak. When the oil drops on the catch since that area is very hot due to the engine sitting on top of it, most of the oil evaporates and the rest sits in the catch. I would stick my hand inside th pan and feel if it is wet, make sure the car is semi cooled off!

My 328 ci '00 needed a new valve cover gasket. the only way I knew was an oily sheen on the air conditioner condensate.
