I just sent you a PM and hope I am wrong.
I just had the problem described in the PM and can tell you, some people buy complete cars for the amount needed to fix it.

I'll be taking my car in to the shop tomorrow and will keep you all posted on what they say.
I'm fairly confident that this is the same problem that some of the folks on bimmerfest are having
with the coolant crossover pipe and O-ring.
I took my car in to get this leak fixed about two weeks back and they said they fixed it but
everyday after work, i still see a small spot of liquid underneath my car near the right front tire.
Iceman was telling us that the crossover pipe and O-ring is actually a cheap fix but the engine
needs to be taken apart in order to get to it. Therefore the cost of this fix is exponentially increased
by the BMW stealership to compensate for the labor of taking it apart. The price he got quoted was
around $8,000! ...that is unacceptable! This clearly seems like a design flaw on BMW's part.
Click on the link bzg posted above and it shows you the layout of the engine and you can see that the
crossover coolant pipe and the O-ring are a part of the assembly .
I have a CPO and so I am still under warranty...so lets see what my service adviser tells me.
If any of you guys are driving around in a 2004 545, please make sure you check your cars for this
issue.

My car leaks i tiny winy bit in the hose #3

Where #4 is attached. Probably a bad o-ring.
Will tear it apart and have a look.
That sounds like the same position you might have if it is dripping in front of the right tire.
I suggest you dig down with your hand and feel if it is wet around the #4 connector.

Iceman, excuse me for asking, but weren't you the one who asked members not to PM where possible since other members might be interested in the answer or was it the other way around? I don't remember. Heck, I can't even remember what I had for dinner last night.

Case is pending, I'm still in contact with BMW, I'll adress this later on the forum.
Currently, there's not much I can do...
I'm also still putting together all the infos and am trying to get as much details as possible.

Iceman, should this "weep whole" be wet when the pipe is broken?
Cause today I looked at this "weep whole" and in mine car is not wet, so the coolant water doesn`t leaking there I think. But I put my hand under water pump and there was wet.
