Guys,

anyone know of a competent reliable shop in the NYC area that can replace my low beam bulb or more importantly if the bulb is not the problem give me an honest diagnosis of if it's the ignitor or control unit that needs to be replaced? I DONT trust the stealership!!

Thanks

Just replace it yourself. You have lots of modifications done already I am assuming you installed them? Its very simple to change the bulb out.

If you mean the xenon bulbs, it's not that difficult to replace yourself. I'm a total noob and managed to do it. Just be careful.

Anyway, if you don't feel like playing with it, there's no need to worry about the stealership. They can do it for you in 5 minutes, charging you for half an hour labor. About 20? in EU, authorized dealer. Not too much to worry about.

its probably just the bulb itself that has the issue, not the ballast or ignitor

I find it odd that the low beam works but no mention of the high beam...

That is if it is a factory adaptive Xenon system.

I'm sorry, I read into your post more than I should have, I assumed you would want to diagnose the problem you had yourself, when clearly you stated in your first post you wanted someone else to diagnose the problem for you.

If it is the bulb that is the problem I would recommend that you do replace the bulbs (for vanity sake) as pairs since bulbs change colors as they wear. The new bulb will most likely not match the other bulb.
