loud spring noise

My Ride: 2006 530xi. Deep green with beige interior. 6 speed manual. Premium package.
Today after parked teh car in the garage there was a loud noise - came from under the car, like a spring broke
Car works fine everythin intact and drives perfectly
any ideas?

First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.

Maybe something happened else where in the gargage...

The noise come from under the middle of the car. The car has been running fine since - no noise - no warnig lights - no shakes - no leaks
Would take to the dealer, but I feel silly saying car made a noise once but runs fine
