I have the same problem and 2 weeks ago I removed the backseat and I jamed some clothes between the backrest and the luggage compartiment. For about 10 days i didn't hear any noise but now it started again. I don't know how to remove the backrest (not the backseat) because there is the problem.

I had backseat sounds as many others have described. The dealer was no help in resolving the issue. Three weeks ago, I removed the entire back seat and made the necessary changes. Not a single noise since. I will post photos when more time is available.
If you can post those photos I would be grateful .

I am disappointed with my 545i. A luxury car worth 60K should sound like a luxury car. I have to say that Lexus makes the quietist interiors in my opinion. I thought the noise was coming from the rear doors because others on this forum said so. so I brought the car to BMW and they lubed the door jams. I feel its coming from the arm rest in the rear and Driver Seat when cornering or going over bumps.

Its so anoying that I cant wait for the lease to be up in 2 more years. Does anyone have this problem? I like the music loud and that helps to camafloge the creeking sounds, but in the morning I like silence when im driving to work.
I have also started to notice a shifting sound form the back @4400 miles I'm now starting to hear door creaks as well. My 540 had its share of quirky noises as well - perhaps its to be expected..you pay for the performance but not noise free cabins I guess.

I would take it in to the dealer and have them fix it. There should not be any rattles or squeaks in a $65,000 car that has 4K miles on it. Mine is super quiet, but only 2200 miles.

The dealer heard the noises (squeaks) but couldn't fix it . I don't know what else I can do.

I think you need another dealer.. A dealer that tells you that he can't fix it is no dealer at all.. Keep going back complaining and they should solve it.

I had the same disturbing backseat noise problem and I took it to the dealer. They took out the seat completely and added some pads and then put it back together. The noise is now gone.

When did you get your car, and do you know what the production week was?

I love the 545, even despite its multitude of techno-gadget problems.

HOWEVER, one creaking noise from my back seat that sounds like someone walking on an "old floor," and it's as good as sold.
