Went out to my 08 550i, which sits just outside my office window, and all windows, sunroof and even trunk were wide open.

Figured I accidentally hit the key fob while in my pants pocket. Closed trunk, inserted fob (no comfort access) started car, closed windows, closed sunroof..WTF the sunroof opens back half way? Close it..Opens back halfway, over and over again.

Called dealer, told it was a Comfort access issue and a bulletin is out. I don't have Comfort access, they say call you back. Called back and said related to comfort access and part required and reprogramming of door locks, even though the situation usually only happens one time????

Good new was, after starting car for lunch run, hit the button and sunroof closed and stayed closed.

I know the window down and sunroof open issue has appeared here before, but does anyone have the TSB? Anyone else with the problem, and how solved?

Been waiting a week for the dealership to call with appointment time, and part arrival.

I see nothing in SIBs related other than one for weak batteries and one for "replacement" FOB (not one of the originals). Neither speak to replacement parts.

Could be that the sunroof just wasn't initialized properly and it could've been that the fob was accidentally pressed in your pocket to cause the windows to roll down in the first place...
