Hey guys... maybe one or more of you have had the opportunity to tackle some of these issues (duly posted on another forum for max. results):

1. I am not too short, nor too tall, but my seat feel lower than I'd like. I can't raise it any higher.. I need another inch or two, that's all. my e39 went higher, as did my x5... anyone have a height adjustmet issue as well? any solutions proposed?
2. the volume knob on the radio mutes it, only. every time i turn the car on, the radio/cd comes on.. even if it was muted before.. how do i turn the radio OFF?
3. is there an I-drive screen I can default to after hitting the accept button, for example, entertainment?
4. RDS for NAV - does anyone have this working?
5. has anyone else noticed that with 13.2.3 software, or other v.13 upgrades, active steering feels a bit tighter, not so loose?
6. I love this car! anyone else have this problem?

Hey Wassy I cant help you with Number 1. But with Number 2, 3, and 4 it's all related to software version 13.2.2...

2. The mute bottun works the way you described it. Even though you might have muteed it before you shut down the car, when it is turned back on, the radio unmutes automatically.

3. iDrive works like any OS, and you cannot alter its startup settings to take you directly into a Menu option. It will always come to the default menu.

4. After getting the software upgrade to 13.2.2 you will lose RDS if you have Nav.

5. My active steering hasn't changed, perhaps someone else can comment on that.

6. Drives well! Electronis just need some more upgrading and top-notching.

I appreciate the responses, and hope for more... even the taller guys have the seat all the way up.. maybe there needs to be some inserts under the rails put in, or some other adjustments.. I need it.

my radio stays muted when I start back up. you saying that's going to change if I upgrade to v. 13?

Hey John.. Yes thats the case. This is what happend to me and many others after upgrading to the 13.2.2

i have it set as high as it can. have you tried another e60 and adjusted the height of the seat? if others are the same, only way to do is put a cushion .

I have not tried another e60, yet, but I have a sneaking suspicion they are all the same.. why? because the passenger seat is the same height as well..

cushion won't work.. not sightly..

if you haven't, i suggest you try one in the showroom. if it comes out the same, talk to your service advisor and see what kind of recommendation he/she suggest. i'm sure there are female drivers driving this car as well. there must be something they can do about it .
