Im looking to get a 2005 545i in the next couple of months, ive just been looking around right now. There arent many here in Vancouver Canada, i dont know why but there arent alot. Is there anything i should look for before i get one? Whats the most you think i should pay for one? I know it depends on the condition, most have give or take 100,000km's and are in pretty decent shape. Im looking to get a black on black one without the nav and any options would be a bonus!!

Use edmunds and kelley blue book for basic value guides and search autotrader, craigslist, cars.com etc. to see what the dollar range is they are going for. When test driving, try to see if the transmission shifts smoothly (aka no transmission slam) and there are no ticking sounds coming from the engine (bad lifters = $$$$$ in repairs). Other than that the car is pretty spot on and if it feels and looks great, chances are it is and was well taken care of. My 545i is getting close to 80,000 miles and still feels new . Good luck!
