Are you the original buyer? Just curious. Not all but some dealers record on your docs the mileage at dlivery. For example if you purchased at 25 miles then you could state your 50K warratny expires at 50025.

I kow it's debatable. Only works for new cars, not demo's, CPO'd, etc.

Ah, but Demo's get an additional 5000 miles and 6 months added to the warranty (mines was a demo )....To the OP, the battery warning was your sign. There is a thread going around with a member whose idrive lit up like a christmas tree. The charging/electrical system on these cars has to be in tip-top shape. Major electrical fluctuations (like those experienced by an underperforming battery) will cause misreporting of problems.

Dude - if youve got any form of a decent relationship with your dealer, take it back and they should take care of it for you as a goodwill gesture. I had issues with my car at 50.7K and the dealer was kind enough in addressing them since I was "just over" 50k.

You could always claim that the warnings came on a half-hour earlier but you had to drive 30 miles home to get your camera and that put you over the 50K mark...that's actually what really happened anyway, right?

That's the exact same light show that accompanied my "Engine Malfunction! Reduced power." the first time. Long story short, I ended up with a new engine wiring harness. As far as the warranty is concerned, the 50,000 miles doesn't start until the cars "in service" date; or more accurately, when it's first titled. So unless you're the original owner and the car had 17 or less miles on it when titled, you're still covered. Basically, even if it was a demo car w/ 3,000 miles on it when you bought it, you'd be covered to 53,000 miles. Or if it had 700 miles, you'd be covered to 50,700 miles. Get it? Good luck!

Thanks for all the good lucks.

UPDATE: This morning when i started her she did the same thing, so i shut her off and fired her back and all errors but "tire pressure monitor" were gone. She ran like usual all the way to work.

I have an appointment at the dealer in 45min. Hopefully they honor the warranty or CPO covers it.

Well, if the dealer does not help you out on this one, I guess you are screwed with a capital F. Even it is as simple as a new battery, if you were to have the ECU reprogrammed or to clear the error messages it would not be cheap. Good luck and hopefully your dealer will belly up to the bar and cover you.
