Logic 7 may be slightly better, but after almost a year of ownership, I still doubt if it's worth the steep 1800 price.

[/quote]Well when you consider that you also get the 6cd changer, I do think its worthwhile for the extra sound quality on a $64,000 car.

I personally think car audio is never as good as a good home system. To many uncertanties with a vehicle. The road, tires, wind, rain, other vehicles all mess up the dynamics of sound when moving or even sittins still.
If you really look at what makes good sound, it is the relationship between the system and the space you are trying to reproduce the music. A vehicle is less than 10'x6'x8' in most sedans. Translate the ratio of interior space to a home and your dynamics are much more difficult in a home. In a car, you can point the speakers right at the listener and direct exactly what you want.
I have done the thousands of dollar aftermarket stereo in other cars, but when it came to a $60k pluss car, I didn't want to mess with the electronic, warranty, or dynamics of the interior. The Logic 7 is the best system for the vehicle. Even if you dump 10K in an aftermarket system, you are degrading the vehicle in resale.
Say what you want between Bose, HK, Mark Levison, or any system. The factory system have gotten so good, and the cars are now so expensive, don't mess with them. You might be 80 -90% satified with the quality, but their is more out their than blasting your ear drums.
by the way, my one center channel for my home sysem was over $1,000.00. Bose home audio is sub-par.
