Just take a look at your car from the outside. Your seat is closer to the front speakers then it is to the rear. I had to adjust the fader in every car I owned. Also the location of the speakers is important. In the E60 it is normal that you hear the music more from the front, you have to adjust it if want it other than that. That's why there is a fader function...

Thanks, Even when I move the fader more towards the back the back speackers still are not that loud. They seem to have much less power then the sides and the back.

The ones in the rear are down in the doors and point into the rear footwells, waaay under your head... and the ones back up on the rear deck are pointing up... and the headliner eats up a lot of the sound and doesn't reflect much...
I've had those kind of problems in any car I've had...

Different tastes for different people, but ideally, I think rear fill should not overpower the front speakers and their supposed lack of power is a good thing. I fade a bit towards the front myself.
Think about being in a concert. The sound would be coming from the front rather than from the rear.

The L7 DSP is suposed to create a virtual stage, with? the rear speakers giving a kind of surround sound.

Maybe that's his problem...
Tsandas, try to turn L7 off and you must get some more sound on the rear speakers...
