so I've locked my blade key in the trunk. I have the fob, but the trunk button doesn't pop the trunk and the lever up under the dash doesn't work the previous owner snipped the wiring harness that goes to the rear electrical. I do not have a ski bag and believe the seats don't fold down. what do I do?

This might be specific to the touring models, but if I unlock all the car doors (either with the fob or the center console button) then the button the on trunk is activated and lets me open the trunk. Not sure if it's the same on sedans. Are you aware of the trunk unlock button on your fob not working previously?

the fob hasn't opened the trunk since I got it. under the interior paneling on the right hand side I found my wiring harness with multiple wires cut. I'm not sure if the trunk is getting the message from the brain to unlock or open it

Is your battery disconnected? The other option my be to remove the backseat (it's really easy) and see if you can access the trunk that way. What year/model do you have (example: 2007 525i)?

When I locked my key fob in the trunk, I had a locksmith pick the trunk mechanical key cylinder. Two locksmiths were unable to gain entry into the vehicle cabin.

Do you only have one key blade? You can also have your dealer cut another key blade from your VIN. I think online sources will do it as well (save $$).
