Nope, its too much work involved. You need:
a) Camera on the front windshield even windshield is different for LDW
b) Cabling all the way from camera to the cd changer area to the LDW ECU
c) New steering wheel
Too costly and involving considering what it provides.

I could never understand "lane departure warning".........if people need a warning to tell them they are drifting out of their lane.....then they are either one of three things :
(1) pissed
(2) asleep
or
(3) not concentrating on their driving.
If anyone, is any, or all of the above.....THEN THEY SHOULDN'T BE ON THE ROAD.

I was thinking the same thing. Making an assumption about something being too hard or too expensive just isn't helpful. Being too hard is too relative and being too expensive is too subjective.
In this case, I do think the steering wheel is the show stopper - it was for me when I considered doing it. On the other hand, I have been thinking of adding the paddle shifters so I could get a wheel that does both. But... I think I would have to give up a heated wheel and I really like that.
Instead of the correct steering wheel, maybe we could wire the vibrator part to a little buzzer

I forgot to mention before that it needs new windshield too.
Is this still too simple/cheap and a myth? If this is simple and not costly for what it gives then what is it?
