i've heard of this also. you could be across town in a mall with a locked car and keys in it and doing this will unlock the vehicle! what a trip... gotta love technology.

This is not possible. Proof is on the internet if you search. The rumour was spread via a hoax email.

You don't have a spare key? If so used it or have someone bring it to you. Ilock mine in the trunk b4 and used the spare to open it.
