Location of ipod/usb/aux inputs

I'm a bit confused. I think that the dealer installed ipod adapter is in the glovebox and the audio aux-in is in the storage compartment under the front center armrest.
With the new 5er, are the ipod and usb inputs at the rear of the center console? What does that area look like if you don't order them?
Also, is there still an aux-in under the center armrest, or is that the same as the ipod input?
