i love all most everything about the car ... the power the performance and all ..
but i feel bmw could do a lot better job with the electronics ... i have had the go to the dealer around 7 - 8 times since i bought the car in december 2005

Smooth, reasonably quiet cruising
Very good size boot (trunk)
Remote boot (trunk) lid opening via key

Dislikes
----------
Runflats (I took them off)
Indicators (getting used to them, but still frustrating at complex junctions)
Body roll (with standard SE suspension)
Steering wheel (too thin and hard - I really want M-sport)
Poor audio quality (with standard UK audio, very difficult to upgrade)
No mp3 for me :-(

Biggest disklike: many features of the E60 are heavily dependent on
proprietary BMW software, which leaves us at the mercy of the dealer(s)
who often don't really understand the software in detail, and want/need
to charge to perform upgrades and enable features.

My Ride: '05 530i, Premium, Steptronic, Logic7, Silver grey-black leather. Build date 12/7/04.

Just one small complaint: The e60 could realy use some additional stowage/storage space in the front driver/passenger area. And when they do the re-design, for God's sake, allow manual adjustments to climate controls and vent settings.

My Ride: 530i, Sport Package, Premium Package, Navigation.

I have only had my 06 530 for a short time...I LOVE everything about the car, except for two things:

OE brake pads make the wheels super, duper dirty after just a single driving session - to keep the car looking great, you almost have to clean the wheels every other day!.
The jack-in-the-box pop-up trunk opening action - almost knocked me out the first time I opened it!
