Looks to be a fine adventure. Thanks for including us ...

By the way, what are your first impressions of your 550i?

Cool pics Jonathan,

Love the "D" sticker on the trunk.

They used to be obligatory in Europe, before the new EU registration plates
with the nationality in them.

D as in Deutchland
NL as is the Netherlands
F as in France
L as in Luxenburg
DK as in Denmark
S as in Sweden
etc.

The Finnish "sticker" used to be "SF" which ment "Suomi-Finland", but of course
many saw it as Soviet-Finland.
This pissed us Finns off, and badly!

Now we have the EU plates with "FIN".

PS. How was the 535dA?

.

That is awesome. Enjoy the drive and good luck with the car. How many miles do you expect to put on the car in Europe?

ps. What ever it is it will be well worth it just take allot of pictures and document the journey.

Rick...

If I'm not mistaken i read somewhere in a previous thread that Jspira has some german roots so maybe because of that he put the D on his car.
You might want to take that back, as he's Austrian.

There is no "D" designation on his Ausfuhrkennzeichen.

Korrekt, of course. The Ausfuhrkennzeichen have no EU letter so a country letter such as (D) is mandatory.
