Default Left Highbeam Malfunction

Hey guys, I've tried searching this problem up but unfortunately I haven't found anything regarding my situation. I recently changed my xenon headlight bulb about a month ago, with a Sylvania Osram replacement if it matters, and it says I have a "Left Highbeam Malfunction" and as you know it when I flick on my highbeams only the right one lights up brighter. What's the deal here, is there an underlying problem or is the light bulb defective?

I think with Bi-Xenons a piece mechanically moves out of the way of blocking some of the bulb's light when you hit the high beam switch. I think its a defective bulb.

Hopefully they'll replace it for me because at $120.00 a bulb I wouldn't want to buy another, and removing that headlight is a pain in the ass!
