I went in last week for the TCU recall and the dealership had to reprogram my car. I didn't notice until later that the eyebrow lights no longer worked. I was wondering what is the fix and how long will it take? Thanks in advance!

Multiple posts for this eyebrow issue. Perform a search to see all the past postings.

I had this issue recently due to having CIP 23.02 installed. To my knowledge CIP 24.00 is the only version that corrects the eyebrows. Service department tried installing 24.01 and it did not contain the fix.

Appears that the service department had to do some manipulating to get the 24.00 version since they had 24.01 on their computers.

From what I've read and researched from the site is that it is a complete reprogram and I am looking for confirmation before I send my beloved away for a day.

Hi,

the Version V24 fix the eyebrows problem. Not enough the "normaly" update, you must flash the LCM separately via "SOFTWARE ACTUALISING in LCM submenu" !!!

As of today BMW does not have a fix my 07 550 went 2 weeks ago for updated software (the the car is 6 weeks old) went it came out of service I didn't notice the eyebrows were out until I saw a thread here. Car went back but they can't do anything until BMW has the new update. When that will happen is anyones guess.

Thanks guys, now I'm torn on whether to wait for the new CIP in March or let the dealership make stab at fixing it.

I brought mine in after the v23 upgrade broke them, they said it was a bad power module which they replaced. I think they also upgraded the CIP/PROGMAN.

I have a similar issue. The eyebrows on my 545 don't light up after I got my mp3 retrofit last week. I don't know what CIP version I have but the SA said it is the latest one that came out two weeks ago!

It's not really a big deal. I probably will not complain for a while. I can use this as an execuse to get a free software update in the future when they have newer and hopefully improved versions.
