My Ride: LCI M5 Alpine White III

anybody can tell me does this work to retrofit the headlight with AE on? or do i really need to pay 400 to get a new one?

Try going to: REALOEM.COM Input your vin number and drive down to lighting. Find the part and confirm the OEM part number and the acceptable replacement numbers. See if any of the numbers are a match...

If your information is correct, then any of the part numbers listed word work and be available as used parts. If you were going to a BMW dealer or republican on line new parts vendor, then only the latest, non superseded part would generally only be available.

I seem to remember reading someplace that all US models with Xenon's came in Adaptive=Yes. Not sure if that changes the part numbers.

I don't know what year your e60 is. If it is a 05 then the light module would be a LM1 light module. Halo lights can not be used as daytime ranning lights.....
However if your e60 is a 07 model year then you want a LM2 light module, which will allow you to have halos as daylight running lights and several other functions not available with LM1.
For that matter, if your e60 is model year 04-06 upgrade to a LM2 and code in options not available to original build.
However if your e60 is a 07 model year then you want a LM2 light module, which will allow you to have halos as daylight running lights and several other functions not available with LM1.
