Probably just like the e60, it will hit Europe in Sept 2008 as an '09 model
I believe it's the 7-series that will hit Europe in Sep 2008...

You may be correct about the 7, but a dual launch is not mutually exclusive. When would they launch a 2009 model, you think in 2010 or 2011?
It's no longer about model cycles, its about market share. We are a disposable culture and only Harley Davidson has been able to side step the newer is better mentality.

True, but have you ever worked with Germans...?

The information that BMW has let slip says that the new 5er will be on show at Geneva in March 2010, which personally make sense for me. Alternatively in Sep 2009 in Frankfurt. Partly because from a marketing perspective it makes no sense to present a 7 and 5 during this Autumn and artly because the Board just took the decision on which design that they should go for. It's always nice with some time for testing before the bring it to market.

2010 March, nothing before that, will be at the dealers 2010 Fall as 2011 Model. Heard from the main guy at the service center. but I dont know if thats a completely reliable information, it does make more sense than models roaming around in 2009 lol not after the LCI which just happened less than 1 1/2 years ago.....

Someone needs to start a poll for everyone's guesses for the US first availability of the next gen 5er. I'm hearing everything from fall '08 to fall '11 !!!
We can include all of the spy shots too. A couple of years from now when it finally debuts we can look back on the thread and laugh at those who were suckered by the media.

PS: I vote for fall '10. Exactly 7 years after the E60 debut. We also need sub polls for the engine format and names. My vote is for a 440hp 4.4 V8 TT in a 555i. I'd love to see the TT V8 sooner but I doubt it will make it in the E60.
