I like that. I wasn't too fond of the other shark-snout F10 photos I was seeing. Wonder how the interior will look... I like the fat fenders, too. Who'd have thought the day would come when BMW would be copying Cadillac (new CTS)? Those fenders and straking lines on the nose are very reminiscent of the new CTS and updated E-class. These guys are starting to morph design cues from each other. That's a good sign that the competition is hot in the segment.

I don't know. I sincerely doubt that they would do an LCI refresh in 2008 and change the model in 2009. Plus that would mean the new 5 series would be out before the 7 which is due to be replaced earlier. Makes no sense.

I'm told the 7 will hit early next year, dealer test drives in Germany in the late fall, and a demo to large dealers prior to Christmas...................

At any rate, it's not nearly as drastic a change as we were expecting. And that's a good thing, IMO. I wasn't feeling those other drawings/guesstimates. Although, I do like that top photoshopped picture. It's very classy looking, but obviously has too much 3-series chopped in. The headlights look nothing like the lights on the other cars.

I think that the coolest job would be camouflaging cars so that they would be unrecognizable. Take a beautiful automobile and glue tape and rivet on all sorts of goofy stuff so that people can't recognize it. Of course, in reality, they want people to recognize it, take pictures etc for publicity reasons but I really think it would be fun.
