I,ve had my 2007 530d (lci) for a few weeks now and the shifter is starting to play up. When shifting from D to N it will quite often refuse to move (the lever itself as opposed to the transmission). A second push will usually get it to move, and quite often it will move first time. Ive searched and only come across one other thread that seems similar, but that was shifting into R. It doesn't seem stiff. It is almost as if there is an internal gate the prevents the lever being moved. Like this gate is sticking in the wrong position, so could either be electrical or mechanical issue. Anyone ever tried to dismantle the shiter (standard, not SAT) or had a similar issue?
