LCI 550i sport package owners, how are your rear Continentals wearing?

I will probably only make 8-9K, but I noticed the right is significantly more worn than the left. I know we technically are not supposed to, but what happens if you cross rotate them?

My Ride: 2008 BMW 550i Sport
Carbon Black Metallic/Cream Beige
Manny tranny and other stuff
Recently gone, but never forgotten:
2005 Ford Mustang GT (hence the name)
Torch Red/Crimson
Manny tranny and every option available for that year
2002 Chrysler 300M Special
Brilliant Black/Light Taupe/Dark Slate
Autostick and goo-gobs of neat features that I will sorely miss
I just crested 10K miles a couple of weeks ago. My rears look great. I have a manual, though, and I don't do a lot of aggressive starts. I aggressive in curves mainly, so I keep an eye on my edges. They are getting a bit noisy now. They're showing some wear, but I don't consider it excessive. Then again, if it's a good (or expensive) tire, I will run it until I see some steel belts.

On the other side of this, I've gotten 20k+ from PS2s on an M5 that I was a lot more agressive with than the 550i. The Contis are a higher tread life rating (280 vs 200) but are getting 1/2 the life. Somethings not right. I've decided its not tire pressure since I set them to within 2 psi of the factory spec and they often are right at the spec before I add air.

Regarding rotating tires wearing unevenly...On these tires, you can only reverse sides, back to back front to front. They have an inside/outside, but can be installed run both directions initially. Anyone think this would lead to problems (reversing the rotation of the tires) ??

My rears wore out faster than I would have liked (12000 mi).

An update on rear-tire wear on my 550i. For reference, I'm probably "average" among 550i owners in driving style -- enthusiastic in the corners periodically, but at least 50% of my time is commuting, and I'm not doing jack-rabbit starts etc... Anyway, it looks to me like by 18K or so I'll need new rear tires -- I have about 8mm tread left on the front, but only 4mm on the rear. I am pleased with the even wear, I had been forewarned toward increased inside-tread wear on the rear, but they're pretty even.
I'm thinking of trying the F1's next.

I replaced my rears at about 23K and probably had another 2K on them. But, since I had to replace both of my fronts right away, I also replaced my rears at the same time after I punctured the sidewall on the left front and had a bubble on the right front. My inner bands wore out to the marker and my outer bands still had some tread left. It looks like I have the highest mileage on the Conti2s; no burnouts and no screeching around turns.
