Latest MP3 Bad News in the U.S.

I don't know if this has been brought up, but the BMW USA site lists MP3 compatibility as a feature against the E500:
(5er on the left column, MB on the right)

It seems like this list is off at least a little bit. I don't know why it has Not Available for Premium audio system, for instance...
Either way, looks like MP3 is a selling point...

My sales brochure (6 months old) said that the car could playback MP3 files, now if it is going to take more than a software update to activate it (which seems to be the case here) then I will insist that they replace every needed part to get it working for FREE!!! Damn BMW ripoffs!

I find it very annoying that BMW advertises the pro radio can play MP3's, and after 15 month selling the E60 they still don't have it fixed...
