just so you know the dealer won't perform any maintenance just because you ask them to. they look at iDrive and see how close you are to the next maintenance interval. i was able to squeeze free maintenance out of them at like 2000 miles before it was time.

hahaha ya-surely they will change everything for you since you are hitting warranty-it doesnt matter if a service advisor wanted to do it for you-it needs to be approved by bmw and only GOODWILL will allow you early change on any maintence issues-this takes a service manager getting approval from a distric manager-so its cool you have a "cool young SA" but he wont be able to do squat.

I would focus on things that you notice-creaking seats, chipped interior, hoses cracked, funny engine sounds-they have to be complaint based.

wow how naive are owners!

Hmmm yes-I will take 4 new brakes, discs, oil change, diff change, a balance and a detail please-and make it quick I only have 1k before warranty ends! hahahaha

I was fortunate to have an SA and a BMW Center who was willing to perform a final courtesy inspection at the end of my CPO warranty. A couple of warranty items were identified and addressed. Maintenance contract items are not provided unless the service interval calls for it.

If your BMW Center is unable or unwilling to perform this courtesy inspection, it may be worthwhile to spend an hour of labor at an independent BMW shop to inspect your vehicle before the end of the original or CPO warranty.

lol believe it or not, he told me he will take care of my car. he sounded as if he was going to push things through.
1. my e60 has always been fixed up with rims etc.... THEY ALWAYS SERVICED MY CAR NO COMPLAINTS (they should have denied me)
2. my SA always fixes items on my car when they dont need to be. for example my micro fiber & brakes (not when they need a change)
3. the interior of my car near the volume, window buttons, and steering wheel are all starting to peel/chip away. im sure u guys know what i mean? is that covered under warranty? i dont think my car should be peeling under 50k.
4. i hope my service car isnt a ford.... they usually give me a 3 series for free

Mention you have a leak under the car that you cannot identify. This will allow the tech to be able to look and hopefully repair any leaks under warranty. Most dealers get their hands slap pretty hard for up selling warranty even if the problem is obvious to them but not reported by the customer, if you mention it they have to look at it. And if it is warrantable, they will fix it.

Check the interior panels for peeling paint like by the switches some dealers will warranty them.

I wonder if mentioning you have a slow Idrive or glitches with it would allow you to get a software update?
