Hello,
Does anybody here know of a link for a DIY in installing KW variants 2 or 3? Also, what settings do you use if you want to lower the car 1" for both front and rear? I basically want to lower the car (2006 525i), maintain the ride quality, and improve handling. If anybody has those settings so that I can basically just plug and play that would be great.
Thanks,
Balbs

Here's the link for what I used as a basic DIY for installing my coilovers:
https://5series.net/forums/topic/853...hocks-install/
Here's some tips on the install also:
-To get the front suspension out I used liquid wrench and kept wriggling it left and right while pulling hard. The link above says to use a brake pad separator which would be much easier but I was able to yank them out in a few minutes with brute force.
-The rears are a bit of a pain but not horrible. To get the shock free from inside the upper mounts you have to either creatively bend the fender liner out of the way or in my case, I pretty much just took the entire fender liner out. Then I had to put all my weight on the hub and push down in order to get enough space to pull the top part of the suspension out from the upper mounting area. Then I had to wiggle it around and jump on the hub again to get room to pull it out from the fender area. This process took me a good 40 minutes or so of trial and error for both sides in the rear.
All in all I was super sore the next day, my entire body. Weird considering I go to the gym or play basketball 5-7 days a week. This was definitely a crazy work out but well worth it in the end!
