per kw:
I do apologize BUT the correct spec range in the rear by >>>>>10mm<<<<< higher than what we spec which will cause your shock to top out as well put more tension on the spring which might be causing the binding issue you are experiencing. Once again I was going to have my tech inspect your RMA and if the failure was due to a manufacture defect we would cover the rebuild for free but if it was not due to a manufacture defect the cost of the rebuilds will be charged.
Thank you I can get you your RMA number here soon but you look to be a lot higher than our spec range for the rear. This could void your warranty on this claim. What I can do is give you an RMA number is our tech find an issue since it was out of range there will be a charge for the rebuild since you are above our manufacture spec range.
Please note that once your RMA is in our lab our turnaround time is 5-8 business days before we ship your RMA back out.
Once my tech have inspected your RMA I will inform you if the rebuild will be cover under our warranty or if they have found a user error.

SO THE MORAL OF THE STORY:
NEXT TIME GO TO A KW APPROVE INSTALLER SO U CAN MAKE SOMEONE ELSE RESPONSABLE IF THE KW CORPORATION dont give a proper customer service and charge $2800 for a product that in our chase"s: mine and the OP..are IDENTICAL !!!

good luck

how did the cylinder get marred and scratched like that? the scratch will cause the shock to leak, but not bind unless all the fluid leaked out??

Shop probably used a set of vice grips to hold cylinder while torquing upper nut to keep cylinder from twisting.

Either way, I would dispute charges with credit card company if a credit card was used and would also file a corporate complaint as well as a dispute with the Better Business Bureau. Usually this will get a company to work with you although it's unfortunate you have to go thorough this after paying so much.

I had KW v2's on my e90 and paid like $1500 in which I liked but could not justify the cost. In my current 550i, I have the Megan Racing Euro coil overs and love them. Only paid $400 too :-D

as i mention...
after the first mount blew the shop remove the whole strut ..and replace it with a new mount(witch after 2 days blew again)

now...i dont know how the shop move/press the cylinder back in place...

i cant actually say it WHEN WAS( with scratch"s ) ,even AFTER i mount the suspension back in april 2012 or they occur when the shop replace the first broken mount...

i just didnt check it..stupid me..

but if the leaking and blew my mount was happening before the scratch"s is a manufacture defect
if the scratch"s wore there when i mount the suspension back in 2012( witch i doubt it) then is my fault ...
whatever the shop made the scratch"s or not,,i cant make them responsible ....because the bleeding happen before they first take the strut out when the first mount blew..

i still don"t get the part were i WENT TO HIGH WITH THE settings :10mm????

the point is...KW got the strut as in pictures (with scratch"s on)...and they make me pay ^^^^^^The scars in the rod damaged your seal and cause a leak. Unfortunately since this is not manufacture defect. There will be a charge to replace the rod ( 95.00 ) and rebuild 160.00.So total cost will be 255.00^^^^^**(plus already 2 new mounts thst i i had to buy after they blew+ 160 labor, BAD ,BAD day and experience((())for the repair because i CANT prove them that the bleeding that blew my first mount was before the scratch"s

SORRY FOR all this ,,i just want to let people know..what they will go thru,,if not being careful
good luck OP

The stock sports suspension sits about the same height as the pics of your car lowered.

Do anyone know if i could install m-sport suspension on my car?
What is the difference between M-sport and Sport susspension?my car came with 17 inch wheels and nin-sport susspension
I look at realoem website and i see M-sport and Sport susspension
All the input will be much apreciated,, i am done with Kw ;((. ($2700 + the repair of the right rear strud build (($250 + labor to install $250) and now if i want to have the rear left one fixed will be another $250+250) plus the 2-3week waiting for return time
I just simply DONE with the kw ;(((

I think the M sport package are just a bit stiffer spring rates as the M5 is heavier. I have M5 Megan Racing coilovers on my car with no issues.
