Hyundai actually wanted to use the brand Genesis for their new sedan and coupe, but for some reason, they used it as the name of the car.

But seriously, there are some great cars coming out, and I don't mean the Genesis, that those in the market should consider. The 5 Series is an awesome car, but it's going to face some serious competition in the coming months.

God... This extended wait for the delivery of my 528i M Sport is driving me nuts. 
Especially now because this is the time of year when manufacturers begin releasing new models or details of new models they will be releasing in the next 3 to 6 months! 
The car I am now partially hung up on is the new 2009 Audi A6 3.0TFSI quattro. I just learned from Audi Korea that there will be no price increase from the A6 3.2 quattro and the new car. Meaning that it will cost exactly the same as the 528i M Sport without some of the extra cost options that I have ordered. Kitted with similar options (and not the mods) the BMW 528i M Sport and the Audi A6 3.0TFSI quattro S Line will cost nearly the same (about US$84K).
In terms of power, the Audi is superior. The 528i has 230 bhp vs the A6 with 300 bhp. As for torque, no contest. The 528i has 271 Nm (200 lb-ft) of twist while the A6 has 408 Nm (301 lb-ft). 0-100 kph acceleration times are, 528i 7.4 seconds and the A6 is 5.9 seconds (estimated). At this point, I know some of you may be thinking, "Why doesn't he just get a 535i?" Well it's not available here (here being Korea). At this juncture, some of you may be saying, "How about the 550i?" Well... the 550i starts at a little over US$120K... if I were to option it out like the 528i M Sport, that would add another US$10K to the price of the car... and at price of over US$130K, we're nearing M5 territory.
As for handling, there are no road holding figures for the new A6 as yet, so can't compare. However, the A6 will not have the 40/60 torque split that the S and RS cars have. So... a more rear biased power split for more neutral handling.
Am I just nuts or does the new A6 look good to my fellow members on this sub-forum? If I'm being an idiot, someone talk some sense into me or I may cancel my order and get the new A6!
