FWIW, I always turn off the screen of my iDrive. I just hate it and only use it when I'm.... let's see.... I don't think I ever use it actually... The radio stations are all programmed to keys so I don't need it, my AC is all set so don't need it, I don't use it that much actually.....

So... if I'm going somewhere I haven't been before, a NAV is a must.Besides, I like toys in my car...
Makes me feel better about my car when I've been stuck in traffic for 2hrs because some idiot in a Hyundai thinks the expressway is a good spot to park his car across 2 lanes!
