I feel you brother I am totally the same way in all aspects. I try my best to NOT drive in her in the week but only on the weekends and I do notice the wrinkles in the seats and the coffee stains by the gear shift. The best way to keep the value of her is to preserve every bit of the vehicle. Some day I would like to trade her in for a new BITCH just like the one I have now...lol just joking but I'm with you on this one!! Plus less wear and tear is less money you gotta spend like thses guys who drive their car daily...lol
you got it man! Whew, I was beginning to think I put myself out there and would only hear the "i drive the piss out of mine every chance I can get, ya hoo" type responses. Glad I'm not alone. And the "trade her in for a new BITCH just like the one I have now" is right on brother!

Dude that does suck! So it came in and your out of town, damn. Work taking you all the way to Chi-town? I was out there with the family this summer - love that town. Stuffed pizza out there is the best.

i maybe but 250 miles a week on her. i tend to not drive it if im going "out" im just nervous bout something happining to it. plus i drive 600 miles a day truckin so the last thing i feel like doing is driving when im done with work. so i put the car cover on it everynight and just let her rest

yeah i was that way exactly with my Z28 but i actually got the bmw so that i could just have a car to drive and not be so involved with. so far it is definitely an improvement as far as the "i spend too much time trying to make sure my car doesn't age" thing, but i am still nowhere near close to normal
most likely you won't ever grow out of that once you own a car you try to preserve.

I am the opposite! While I don't like stone chips or the signs of age - I purchased the car because I love the way it drives. I don't avoid driving it - I drive it to enjoy it

I have a client that is 250 miles away that I visit a few times a year. I usually think for a few minutes each trip about taking my wife's car or renting a car to avoid putting the miles on my car. Then I think about driving through the mountains and along the long flat roads on this route in my wife's cushy SUV or a bland rental car VS cruising in the 550 with sport seats, satellite radio, new Continental Extreme DWs and the choice is easy! 550 every time...

These days, I only get to drive my car every saturday maybe sunday. I have not bought a second car so my wife needs it to take my baby to day care and also go to work. I just ride my ZX6R. Great on gas and fun too.

Its just a car, Its not like it is something collectible like a old 63 vette or a 66 cobra, is it going to grow in value? I mean who are you saving it for, your grand kids?

I love the way mine drives too. I drive mine to enjoy it. It's just that I don't want to drive it too much too soon so as to try and make it last at least until I pay it off, ya know what I'm sayin?
