there's got to be another way around that, my post was to say that its a shame that nowadays the dealer is the only one who can do anything for your car, im in the industry and had to get special adapters just so i can do my own car!

Its for security purposes... sure its a PITA but its better that way... would you rather have it where you can just goto Home Depot to duplicate a car key? I wouldnt... I like how our keys look. better than those american car keys.

I just love reading these kinds of posts! Entertainment! hahah (and my post, I guess you can say useless) BTW, I think I need to get another key, since I only have one. I have a '05 530i, on the newer ones I guess they have the laser key, I WANTED THE LASER KEY!!!!
