Kind of a meaningless figure since you don?t indicate the currency

Actually it's meaningless the answer a axiomatic question.

Go to GM and ask for a cheaper key...

Howitzer 03-19-2009 10:36 AM

Huh? "All keys fail" ???? What the hell are you talking about?

mikeg3tsguap 03-19-2009 10:58 AM

After a certain amount of time the keys stop charging hence a new key

They dont all fail in a couple of years, everything fails eventually... I'm sure there's a lot of 2004 keys here that are still working fine.

That kind of statement earns you no sympathy, if you were more sincere about the whole thing I would have felt bad for you and said it sucks that your key failed so early... but with that kind of statement I'm just thinking... " Sucks to be you, too bad, hope you other key fails too"

Indeed. That's the wear cycle.

178 in USD is cheap. Suck it up. The keys for my Prius were about $400 USD new (inc. ECU programming). You could have looked on eBay for cheaper ones...
