I find lately that my car does not automatically unlock the doors when i hold the door handle from the outside. Is this a programming issue? My warranty expired.

Try replacing the battery. It's easy on the comfort access unit. Just pop it open and I think it's a standard biscuit battery available at Radio Shack etc. If the old one is a couple of years old it won't hurt to replace it.
