Going on my 3rd E60, my 10th or 11th 5 series, all the rest being E39's.

with E60, had a jet black on black, and currently a silver grey on black. I am looking at :

sapphire black on black
monaco blue on either black or tan

reason for no auburn is i am ordering ventilated seats, so it's black or tan. I have 2 kids, 8 and 11, but very clean. they are saying go tan, they are sick of the black, saying it shows all the dirt. I would think beige shows more?

ok, let 'er loose folks!

Personally, I think black interior is the only way to go... other colours just seem ... wrong. As for the paint, black is fine, but I think the dark grey or the dark blue gives it a little more character.

But yeah tan or any lighter interior would hide dust mode... at the expense of having stains be more visible.

p.s. Do you want us to pick out your outfit for tomorrow also?

I think you should wear black shoes with a matching black belt.

I have no problem with my tan interior, which I also had on my e39. Unless you spill coolaid in it you will be okay. Although, I avoid letting my 6 and 9 year old eat and drink in the car. It is not a matter of if they will spill anything, but when.

Black just seems too hot for me in the south and the grey interior of my old 3 series just seemed gloomy.

And, I was told once when picking out the interior of my last car that studies showed that it only took an additional 4 seconds to cool a black interior car compared to another color. I did not believe it.

Hi Wassy,

Does the monaco blue and tan combo seem odd to you? IMHO, I thought it would be the perfect combo but it just seemed weird. Sorry to those with this combo.

Black on black seemed too monotone. If your insistant on the blue and black, try grey. Its really a good comprimise between black and biege. I hated it first (thought it too blue) but it really grew on me and was a close second in the end.

I vote black with grey. Of course then picking the wood type is another issue.

well, i think the Tan on the e60 is just akward to begin with all around, with the black accents. black on black is classic, and always works. however, forget grey. not for me at this time.

going to the dealer now. will let you know.
