Oh and....+1 on the LandRover - they are really sweet It's one of the vehicles I always drool over in traffic.

It's a cool truck. But it's been on the market for six years. Came out 2002. The 5-series (E60) came out 2004, and we are talking about the next 5-series. Simply it's too old to be that expensive.

My other car is a 2004 MDX and although my wife loves it, we are thinking of upgrading shortly. On our short list is the X5 4.8 and the Range Rover SC. I love the RR but I don't think even the SC version can out pace, out handle the X5. The other concern is as ipp has stated above, it's due for a change soon so I don't want to get into a car that will look outdated a year or so from now.
It is still one of the most beautiful SUVs out there though.

With all due respect, I have a friend who is a mechanic at a Range Rover dealer. He says that they are generally unreliable and built rather poorly. Also, Consumer Reports rated them the least reliable vehicles sold in the US. If you have had decent luck with your wife's car, consider yourself luck. If you purchase another hopefully your luck will continue but the odds are against you. Best of luck.

Looks identical to my wifes' RR Supercharged...bar the Overfinch wheels.
It is the best SUV bar none but does spend a lot of time in the dealer. Having said that its no worse than the X5 4.6iS and the Cayenne Turbo we had before (the Cayenne was the worst by far!!!!)
