My Ride: 2005 545i with everything
![Default](https://5series.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
I'm off lease on my 2005 545i in June, so I've been debating on what to do. I love my E60 but it's nice to change things up for variety so I just ordered a Range Rover supercharged with every option (there is only one option
) from the factory. Since it takes 3.5 months to arrive and my deposit is refundable, I can always back out of the deal if something catches my eye. here is is...

My wife currently has a '06 Range Rover so I'm familiar with the 'ownership experience' which usually involves trips to the dealer every few months.

Why do you want to have 2 SUVs? I assume you live with your wife.
My wife enjoys our SUV (Mazda CX-9) and that works out great for me since I prefer to drive a better handling car. I have been intrigued by the Range Rover and I have driven the supercharged one and it is amazing for what it is, but you will miss driving a serious sports sedan on a daily basis in about 2-3 months after having it. A better option would be to keep the 545 and convince your wife why you "need" the Range Rover SC. That way you have the best of both worlds.

Although it may not be as big...why not consider the X6? ![Happy](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/happy.gif)

I still do not get the point of the X6 at all. It is a better handling SUV (or SAV as BMW likes to play with names), but has much less room than a SUV, so why not .... get a car?!

As I understand it the X6 is a four seater which is really limiting for anyone with kids. While I don't need a 7 passenger (me, wife and 2 kids), the ability to take that 5th person is critical. With my X3 lease coming to an end I would seriously consider the X6 if it had 5 seatbelts. Who are they targeting with the X6? I don't get it.
Love the looks of it though.

I guess one reason why the RR is I couldn't find a sport sedan that really excited me to replace my E60. I could get a 550i but that would be another 3 years in almost the same car I have now, and it would overlap the release of the new model which means I would be driving the old one. The E class does nothing for me, audi is nice but the local dealer sucks, lexus too boring, so I just see no options in the 4 door car world right now that gets me excited.
