My Ride: 2006 530X, Silver Gray, Black Dakota, Premium Package, Cold Package, Park Distance Sensors, Steptronic
Nothing as eye-catching as a shined up black car but, as they say, it only looks good for one day. Dark cars are just more work, plain and simple. Wife has a black C and between the swirls and water marks and rock pits, it looks terrible even if you take care of it.
Really enjoying the silver gray which looks glossy and smooth when clean and never looks all that dirty even when it is. Lighter colors also more forgiving of swirls and minor scratches. Not sure I would ever go back to dark.
But it's all personal preference and in the scheme of this increasingly dangerous world, of little consequence.
This post is much like the one which asked about the income levels of BMW owners.
