Where are these "most places" ?

I would have phrased this question as "Nowhere that I can think of, are the cars that protect VIPs are black 5ers. Why don't they ever use 5ers.".

Seriously, it never happens. The 5er simply doesn't have enough rear legroom to be a VIP transporter. The only BMW that ever gets that job is the 7er or perhaps an X5. This VIP job is almost always going to Mercedes E class, Mercedes S class, LWB Jags, LWB 7ers, Range Rovers, or one of the many flavours of blacked-out minivans/people carriers. But never ever a 5er.

Easy solution then. Get a bi*ch to keep it looking good for you
VIP is in a Range Rover and it is sandwiched between to black 5ers. Well here in Hong Kong and in China, those things happen.

This is how you start a fight...

"I hate alpine white cars. BMW should be ashamed to even put that color on an E60. Anyone who drives one is obviously dumb and has poor taste and/or is blind"

...I dont actually feel that way, but THAT is how you get it going in here!
... not really. This is why BMW knew it just had to put white for the E60. Excellent!!.

cheers

Once a month, $5, for 5 minutes thru the car-wash. Works for me Takes the dirt off and lets the twice-a-year waxing shine back thru again.
you are a far different person then i. wow .

My wife must be even more different to you then. She makes fun of me for getting my car washed so often.

She bought her brand new Golf 6 in black in January and still hasn't washed it once yet. She reckons because it's parked outside (where it rains sometimes) that keeps it clean enough

+1.

I go once a week or, worst once every 2 weeks to the car wash. If not, my car looks dirty, dusty and gross. When I had my Titanium Silver BMW, it was more than once a month. Then again, my Carbon Black 550i Sport gets a lot more compliments than my Titanium Silver 540i Sport ever did. Maybe it is the color because I still tihnk my 540i Sport was a little better looking.

In my defence, my car is always garaged and I only do about 500 miles a month. I work from home, so no commute. I can also pretty much choose whether I go out or not if it's raining, so that can help keep it cleaner longer

I don't drive to work either. But I drive more like 500 miles per weekend -- usually some of it very hard driving. That dirties up the car quickly. Usually by the end of Saturday, my wheels are covered in brake dust.

I pay $16 every 2 weeks or so to have mine hand washed.
