Ouch! I had the dealer put a small scratch in my driver door on the day of delivery. They did not mention it but waited for me to bring it up, apparently hoping that I would not notice. However, being that I ordered this car custom built from Germany, I obviously was going to look over every fine detail. When I found it they admitted to it hitting an unprotected pole on a lift. I refused delivery and insisted that if the scratch was not COMPLETELY invisible, that I would want a new car. Fortunately they were able to make id disappear.

I would HATE to be the owner of this car. I would hate even more to be the dealer. hard to explain this one away.I guess there may be one less tech working there today. Gonna be one pissed off owner. Us BMW folks are pretty damn particular -lol!

Damn! That's f'ked up. I noticed the guy on the left is super strong who is stabilizing/stopping the vehicle from falling further with his bare hands!

I'd laugh and ask them for a nicely equipped loaner. Maybe one of those new 6's

Times like that I believe they'll give you the latest so you don't give them a BAD rating. Yeah! I'll probably go with the new 6's as well

The people responsible for this should lose their jobs. Something like this is absolutely un-called for. Not to mention the unforeseen problems that could occur later that the stealer would try to deny.

"COVER-UP TIME"! They are probably thinking, "the driver will not notice the the dent in the front bumper nor the wobbly front end as the car is rolling down the road". Hope they get a nice rental car!

That's harsh. It's a car, not a person. Accidents happen and equipment fails. I've seen a 20 year ASE Master Tech have a full sized Suburban fall off his lift from 6 feet in the air. The frame rails under the truck were not fully boxed, so they bent slightly, which shifted the weight and shredded the steel teeth that hold the arms in place, so they swung out of the way and down came the rear of the Suburban.

Shops are insured for things like this. They'll get it repaired, and if the cost is high enough, they'll turn in a claim to their insurance. Hopefully nobody was hurt.
