LOL, I know how you feel. I got my first BMW (an E30 318i) at the age of 17. I have been wanting a 5 series ever since, but something always got in the way. I finally was able to just go ahead and get one when I was 33, now coming up on 6 years of ownership I can't imagine driving anything else but a 5 series. I have had 37 cars in my life now and never had a car I enjoyed more. I am a confirmed 5 series fanboy for life now

 

46 in three weeks, its my first BMW, only had it two weeks, its taking a bit of getting used to after my last car (Below) which i had for 6 years and loved, but time to move on.

 

Wow! So what does that make you, John, 39? If you've been driving since 16 like I have, that's like an average of a different car every 7.5 months!

LOL, yes, I am 39. Got my first car at 14.5 (drove semi legally when I got my permit then), got my license at 15.5 (Colorado law, not sure if they still do it, you can get your license at 15 and 6 months with parents consent back then). There were some years I went through 6 or 7 cars, got bored with them, or had an issue, or (since I modded every car) someone offered me good money for them and I sold them. There have been only 2 cars that I have had longer than 3 years: My old 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and my current E60. Other than that it was 3 years or less.

BTW, my first car was an 82 Dodge Challenger, I've come a LOOOOONG way:

I've come further. My 1st car was a '69 Subaru 360 with a 2 cylinder, 2 cycle, 360 cc engine.

My first BMW was a 1995 E34. Great car had the small 3.0 v8. Drove it until July of 2012 and sold it with 192,000 miles. Love my E60, just wish it has a bit more power (528).
