Instead of having a mini-meet why not attend the Socal Meet in Hunting Beach @Wheel Power January 6th?

Congrats on your new car! If you have a choice of service reps, use Dan Taylor. He's a good guy. And I wouldn't mind meeting up as well...although like Jiio said, it be great if you could join the upcoming meet!

The radio pauses or gets completely cut off in FM for about 3-4 seconds when just driving straight in FM mode. Is this normal or is there something that causes that?
This was an issue with one of the earlier CIPs. I had a similar situation and based on the responses on this board, I had the dealership upgrade my level. That fixed the problem. I can't recall the level which had this bug, though.

I had the same problem. There is an update to the CCC software that will fix it. Have your service advisor check SIB 65-26-05. Good luck with the new ride.

I just got back from New Century to get the master key and talked to Dan the SA about my problem with the I-Drive. I noticed when I used the master key instead of the spare settings were changed. I Also noticed that my problem with the I Drive freezing frequently, stopped on my way home. Does anyone know if the problem came due to the spare I was using when I got my car? And does the Master key contain settings or a relationship with the CIP? And has anyone had a problem when using the spare or secondary key?

I know what u mean, I had the same problem today. The radio just cuts out for abt 4-5 seconds and then comes on for about 8-10 seconds, then cuts out again. The iDrive also got sluggish, there was a delayed response to the instructions. Like as if it is a real slow computer. I thought it was something that i may have done while fooling around with the bluetooth settings yesterday and I browsed thru the iDrive quite extensively trying to figure out what the problem was. Anyway-to make a long story short-I pressed the Voice Command button once and it emitted a loud beep , I then pressed it again and the voice command said "Cancel." After that everything worked fine. The radio did not cut out and the iDrive was not sluggish any longer, it was responsive like normal. I don't know what happened or how it happened. Keep in mind I am a newbie with bimmers, just 500/600 miles of bimmer driving experience so maybe it was something else in the iDrive that sorted this out. But give it a shot and let me know what happens.
