2007 550i.

Told them the iDrive was acting sluggish and slow to respond to inputs. So they apparently upgraded the software. Here is the service description:

SIB 650307 programmed complete vehicle including cas, w 33.1
defect 6552001200 labor 6100811 8 fru

I notice a few things:
- nav maps look different...a lot of bluish green color and just looks different...hard to compare given I cannot go back and forth to see differences.
- Sat radio works like my 2008 528i does...where clicking the station it goes right to it, you do have to tell it again with the little sub menu.

Anyone familiar with this SIB? Not sure how much more responsive it is, but the knob certainly isnt as precise as my 2008. Obviously a hardware upgrade from 2007 to 2008.

You must have had an early build 07 (Jan - March) as you would have been pre v25 which gave is the new NAV colors and features. And 650307 was an early 2007 complaint for idrive sluggish response to controller. Last time that specific SIB was updated was April 2007.

Yes. It was a Feb 2007 delivery. Wonder why they had never updated prior during maintenance. I picked this up this past Feb as a CPO.
It performs much better.

No customer complaints = no updates in most cases.

I have an '09 and mine does this as well. I'm assuming I have the latest iDrive software, so I don't think a current update is going to fix this.
