I wouldn't advise the msport bodywork if you intend climbing kerbs, and especially if you plan to lower your e60, I can't say for sure the clearence at the front but it can't be more than around 5 - 6 inches.

if you put original lower springs you can get max -15 mm but its worth it ,just for much beter "look"

Regarding the rims ... it's perfectly OK to leave 17" or 18" inches in Europe on. It's much more practical with all the bumps, potholes and sidewalk parking.
